Punta Mujeres is a small, authentic fishing village on the northeastern coast featuring beautiful natural swimming pools formed by volcanic rock. These pools offer safe swimming with ocean views, protected from Atlantic waves and currents.

The pools are carved by wave action over centuries, creating natural swimming areas filled with seawater but sheltered from rough ocean conditions. Several pools of different sizes suit various swimming abilities. The crystal-clear water allows observation of small fish and marine life.

The village itself remains authentically Canarian, with white-washed houses, local restaurants serving fresh fish, and few tourists. The atmosphere is peaceful and relaxed, offering glimpses of traditional island life. Local families use the pools, especially on weekends.

Rocky platforms around the pools provide sunbathing areas and dramatic ocean views. The contrast between the black volcanic rock, white foam, blue ocean, and white village buildings creates photogenic scenes. Sunset visits are particularly beautiful.

  • No facilities at pools – bring own supplies
  • Wear appropriate footwear as rocks can be sharp
