View on WikiLocCaldera Colorada (Red Caldera) is a volcanic crater in Timanfaya National Park, southwest Lanzarote. One of several craters formed by the 18th-century eruptions of Montañas del Fuego (Mountains of Fire), it spans 150 metres wide and 50 metres deep.
Its slopes glow with red, orange, and yellow tones from iron-rich minerals, earning its vivid name.
Visitors explore via guided park tours featuring the Fire Mountains, La Geria, and Montañas del Fuego. Hiking trails reveal volcanic landscapes and insights into geology and ecology.
